Call to Worship
People of God, worship the living God today!
Remember that out of nothing
God created the heavens and earth.

Remember that God raised Jesus
from death to power at his right hand.
Remember that not even the gates of hell
can stand against God’s purposes.

Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
For he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
— Based on Psalm 95:6-7

Confession
Eternal father of mercy,
you pardon all who truly repent and turn to you.
We humbly confess our sins and ask your mercy.

We have not loved you with a pure heart,
nor have we loved our neighbor as ourselves.
We have not done justice, loved kindness,
or walked humbly with you, our God.

Have mercy on us, O God, in your loving-kindness.
In your great compassion, cleanse us from our sin.
— Based on Psalm 51:1-2, Micah 6:8

Assurance
The LORD is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
As a father has compassion for his children,
so the LORD has compassion for those who fear him.

For he knows how we were made.
He remembers that we are dust.
He does not deal with us according to our sins,
nor repay us according to our offenses.
God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Through Jesus Christ forgiveness of sins
is proclaimed to you.

In Christ we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness of our trespasses,
according to the riches of his grace.
Praise be to God!
— Based on Psalm 103:8,10,13-14; Romans 5:8; Acts 13:38; Ephesians 1:7

Benediction
The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Amen.
