Call to Worship
Sing to the Lord a new song,
for he has done marvelous things;
his right hand and his holy arm
have worked salvation for him.

 The Lord has made his salvation known
and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
He has remembered his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation of our God.

 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
make music to the Lord with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn—
shout for joy before the Lord, the King.
–Psalm 98:1-6

Confession of Sin
Everlasting God,
In whom we live and move and have our being:
You have made us for yourself,
So that our hearts are restless until they rest in you.

Give us purity of heart and strength of purpose,
That no selfish passion may hinder us from knowing your will,
No weakness keep us from doing it;

That in your light we may see light clearly,
And in your service find perfect freedom
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord,
Who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
One God, now and forever. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation

 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
–Romans 5:6-11

Benediction
Go in peace, in the knowledge of God’s power.
Go in confidence, in the knowledge of God’s strength.
Go in joy, in the knowledge of God’s love.
Peace be with you all!
And also with you!
